The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Scientist to join our production team as part of our innovative start-up servicing a niche, fast-growing global industry with new APIs. Working with a small, collaborative and dynamic team of innovators and experienced leaders, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of commercial products, optimising processes, and directly manufacturing products within our GMP facility.

We welcome recent graduates and those with 1-2 years of GMP experience to apply. We especially welcome those who are interested in organic chemistry, ambitious, and willing to learn. 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support the development of new processes and support the manufacture of commercial batches within our GMP facility.

  • Operate equipment within the small-scale GMP Cleanrooms.

  • Participate in GMP training and supporting validation activities in the facility. 

  • Under the guidance of the quality team, generate quality documents such as Batch Records, User Requirements Specifications (URS) and Manufacturing Requirements Specifications (MRS). 

  • Work closely with R&D to support technology transfer projects.

  • Adhere to and support all EHS standards, procedures, and policies. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deliverables.

  • Liaise with the process development team and QC team to ensure successful product transfer and launch.

  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in pharmaceutical/scientific/engineering discipline with good knowledge of organic chemistry and small molecule batch manufacturing technology.

  • GMP knowledge and API manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Some experience with analytical and lab techniques

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Ambitious and willing to learn new techniques and technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Reporting Structure:

  • The Process Scientist will work within a small production team and report to the Head of Production.
